Breast Lift Revision Surgery Costs: Find Out Beforehand
As we have discussed in the revision section, someone must cover the cost of a breast lift if the results of the initial mastopexy are not acceptable and additional surgery is needed. Find out beforehand who that someone is!
Before you commit to the primary breast lift surgery you need to know who will foot the bill in the event that the lift fails or there is severe asymmetry postoperatively. Get this in writing so you will not have to pay breast lift revision costs. Your surgeon may be a little put off by this upfront approach, but it's better to slightly offend and have an understanding of who's financially responsible for additional mastopexy costs than to be overly polite and put yourself in a difficult position.
The stipulations of the agreement with your plastic surgeon determine what is breast lift costs are covered. Usually those include surgeon error and, sometimes, rare and unforeseen complications or unexplained failures. But if the negative outcome is clearly your fault, you pay. For example, if you walk around without a bra and a few years later your breasts sag, there's no free lift for you. So abide strictly by your surgeon's instructions and warnings.
